Charity for 2002: The Humane Society of the United States

In honour of Luna, Artemis and Diania, we are this year collecting donations for the The Human Society of the United States! This charity helps animals and we thought it would be a great charity through which our small donations could be put to good use.

If you can't donate or live outside the U.S., you can visit your local shelter and find out their wishlist and donate a can of food or a blanket or something. Send our Treasurer Sarah Beth a copy of the receipt of your donation to the shelter and we'll add you to this page as someone who helped contribute a donation! :) Our GOAL this year is to collect $150 at least.

WHY DO WE HAVE A CHARITY

As the president and owner of UsagiandMamoru.com, of the online Usagi and Mamoru (Serena and Darien) fan club ISUMEL and the creator of the Usagi and Mamoru email discussion mailing list UMML , I've watched the numbers of devoted and loving U&M fans grow and decided that we've proven how much SM fans love this couple, now let's do something in their name. Let's help spread Usagi's and Mamoru's eternal love into the real world. With this in mind, the staff and I decided to donate to charities!

HOW TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION

  • $1 donations can be mailed as just a one dollar bill, but please wrap it in a piece of paper before putting it in the envelope.
  • Checks or money orders are most preferable if your donation is $5 or MORE. Make the checks payable to either: Sarah Beth Douglass or payable to 'Humane Society of United States' exactly like that.
  • People who donate LARGE sums of money, i.e. $30 or more, will get their name mentioned with the donation and will also be written down on a special charity homepage on this site as 'Principle Donors'.

2000's Charity - The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation
The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation is an organization that is dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes and it's complications. Diabetes affects one in twelve people in the US, and can even be fatal. "There is a cure, and together we will find it"

1999's Charity: Make a Wish Foundation
