Introduction
Respecting Seiya and Usagi and their friendship is different from supporting their "love" - they had a wonderful friendship - it was cute, it was sweet, and it was funny! :) However - they never had a romance and they never will.

If you are going to support something - support the fact that both in anime and manga Seiya loved Usagi and did what was right - she/he tried to win Usagi's heart - failed and gave up, and returned to Kinmoku Star. As Usagi said in Episode 200 - the two of them will always be *friends*.

All fans - whether they be Seiya and Usagi fans or Usagi and Mamoru fans must respect the fact that Usagi and Seiya were great friends and that Seiya was a true friend to Usagi - loving her enough to know that Mamochan was the one who made Usagi happy.

Seiya and Usagi Support Sites
Basically, these type of sites are run by people who hate Mamoru and love Seiya. They all have their obligatory "Why Seiya Rules Over Mamoru" lists, then they might have some other miscellaneous things like pictures, fanfics, anti-Mamoru songs, anti-Mamoru lists, and a members list. Of course, these pages are all pretty dumb if you think about it based on these VERY simple, hard-to-miss facts:

Usagi loves Mamoru. Mamoru loves Usagi. Seiya loves Usagi. Usagi does not love Seiya as anything more than a friend.

I know these might be really hard concepts for certain people to grasp, but eventually you should get it. What is the point of making an "Usagi and Seiya Forever" site if Usagi doesn't love Seiya like that? Some people say that deep down, Usagi loves Seiya like that. Uh, no, deep down and up to the surface, Usagi loves Mamoru. Others say Usagi *should* be with Seiya. Well, "should" is different than saying "does". So Usagi "should" love Seiya more than Mamoru because the members hate Mamoru and love Seiya. Great, you can "should" anything. I think there "should" have been an Outer Senshi OVA series; I think the SuperS anime "should" have followed the manga instead of doing its own thing. I disagree with this particular "Should", but if you like it, that's fine. But saying that Usagi "does" love Seiya more than Mamoru is totally wrong.

All "Seiya and Usagi" sites love and support Seiya, but they sometimes do so misguidedly. To put it point blank, a lot of them don't like to touch how Seiya is really a woman. One site even tried to claim that Seiya really *was* a man because he was reincarnated on Earth as a man (which is totally wrong). Other sites say that Seiya should stay a man. Wow, for all you like Seiya, you don't *really* like Seiya. Seiya is a woman; she is always a woman in the manga. In the anime, Seiya is a guy, yeah, but his true form is Starfighter, a woman. That means Starfighter is *gasp* a lesbian! Oh dear God, no! Our precious Seiya-darling can't be a woman! That means... homosexuality, which is EVIL! No, we'll just glib over that little fact...

Furthermore, the people who create these organizations presume to know what's best for Usagi. They ignore the fact that she loves Mamoru completely. No, they think, Usagi *can't* love someone we hate. We think Mamoru is a big jerk, a dumb freak who isn't 1/3 as cool as Seiya. We love Seiya, so Usagi must love Seiya- secretly, in any case, when it's not blatant. It's like the stereotype, control-freak mother who ignores her child's wishes and arranges them off to marry someone "better" and more "suitable" (like Michiru's type-cast fanfiction mother). If someone's happy where they are and are being treated well, I say leave it alone and let them stay happy.

And it's not like Mamoru is some horrible, horrible abuser of wife and children with no romantic side, who's always mean, nasty, self-absorbed, AND who has no fashion sense, doesn't have an angelic feminine voice like Seiya, who doesn't even have his own fanclub! How worthless he must be! Jeez. So you don't like Mamoru, so what. He treats Usagi well and loves her. He might not be Prince Charming in all senses, but he's a good guy. (The anime doesn't do him justice - read the MANGA.

Anyway... Most of these sites are really poorly done with dumb reasons on why Seiya and Usagi are "meant to be". Worse still is that these aren't parody sites, they're *serious*. I can't tell you how many times I've just *laughed* at the lists of why Seiya is better than Mamoru. They might be good reasons to like Seiya, but they certainly don't explain why Seiya is better for Usagi than Mamoru is. If, for instance, the list said, "Mamoru constantly smacks Usagi around" and that reason was true, heck, sign me up for the Usagi Seiya club. But if it says things like, "Seiya likes Usagi. And someone who doesn't like anyone isn't interesting, ne?" then what am I supposed to say? "Yeah, us people who don't have crushes aren't interesting. Thanks." I don't know why all these pages are black either; they all look similar to me with the same sort of sections as their "sister sites" have. Basically these are just worthless pages that spend too much time bashing Mamoru, praising Seiya, and making a big deal out of what "ought" to be instead of admitting what "is". If they didn't take themselves so seriously and just made it a "What could've been" page that's light and cheerful, then I might not like the site, but I couldn't really argue with it.
