Usagi is now fully aware she is to be leader of the Senshi and help the Moon Princess. Already we see HUGE differences between the Usagi of the anime and the Usagi of the manga - here, Usagi matures much faster and takes her responsibilites more seriously than in the anime.

We also have seen more tender moments between Sailor Moon/Usagi and Tuxedo Kamen then we saw in the anime. But get ready, this only the tip of a GREAT iceberg. Usagi and Mamoru are both so much more powerful and beautiful in the manga than the anime. You shall see why.

Mamoru has been sleeping now and is dreaming of a woman with long, flowing hair calling out: "The Mystical Silver Crystal."

Chiba Mamoru's eyes pop open. He sits up in bed. "Who is that calling me in my dreams? Always whispering the same words... 'The Mystical Silver Crystal.' And when I'm about to see her face... I wake up." He picks up a star-shaped watch on a chain. "Six o'clock." He envisions the woman. "That long hair... Who is she?"

That morning, Usagi has been having bad dreams so has woken up early and left for school. She sees Ami on the way and explains this to her when she meets Mamoru again.

"Ami-chan! Mako-chan!" calls Usagi.

"Hi, Usagi-chan," says Ami. "Great! You didn't oversleep today."

"Well, I've been having bad dreams lately." Usagi sees Mamoru walking down the street. "Hey, he was in my weird dream."

"That guy!" Usagi says. "Chiba Mamoru!"

"Hey, odango," he calls. "Have you been studying?"

She makes a face at him. "I don't need your help!"

"Who's this?" asks Makoto.

"I don't know," Usagi says. "Just some guy I always run into."

"Usagi-chan," Makoto says, "you're blushing." She smiles. "Do you like him?"

"No!!"

"Wow," says Ami, "he's wearing a Moto Azabu High uniform. That's an elite school. Are you sure you don't know him?"

"Well," says Usagi, "his name's Chiba Mamoru. I've bumped into him a few times. He's really annoying."

The girls then taper off into a discussion of Tuxedo Kamen, who is on the cover of the newspaper asking for the Silver Crystal. This has become a huge news topic even on tv news.

Later that evening, the enemy attacks and has done something to the city to make everyone weak and is sucking their energy. Usagi, too has fallen prey to this, but guess who comes along and helps her?

"Ohhh..." Usagi moans. "I feel faint... This must be the work of the enemy." She drops to her knees. "I have to save everyone.... Ohhh... I don't think I can do it..." She collapses on the ground, the moon stick flying out of her bag.

Mamoru comes around the corner and sees her lying there. He lifts her up. "What's this... So warm... Flowing energy..."

A hand touches Usagi's face. "Hey! Wake up!"

She opens her eyes and sees Tuxedo Kamen looking at her, concerned. "Tuxedo Kamen! Why are you here...!?" She thinks to herself, "Could this be a dream?"

"I saw you here," he says. "I had to act fast."

"Tuxedo Kamen..." Usagi says. "You... Did you do this?"

"No!" he says. "That's not what I want. I'm just after the Mystical Silver Crystal. But, I don't have any information about it. You must go after it. Transform, Sailor Moon! I can't do anything now."

Usagi's eyes go wide. "He knows..." she thinks. "That I'm Sailor Moon...!" Her heart pounds. "But... Who is he!?"

"Only you can save everyone," Tuxedo Kamen says. He thinks to himself, "I've seen her somewhere before... But I don't know where. The deep color of her eyes..."

"This is so confusing," Usagi says, "but I don't have time for that now!" She touches her brooch. "Moon Prism Power... Make Up!!" She leaves to battle.

It is upto Usagi now to save everyone. None of the other soldiers are around to help her and only she can do it. Usagi is frantic with worry over what to do but Tuxedo Kamen is there to encourage her. This leads to one of the most sweetest scenes between them before their past love life together is remembered.

"Pull yourself together, Sailor Moon!" Tuxedo Kamen holds her close. "You can do it!"

The moon stick appears, glowing in front of her. "What? Where did that come from?" she says.

Usagi remembers the Sailor V game. Sailor V used a moon stick. "Maybe..." she says, "maybe that's how I use it!" She holds the stick. "That light... That power is flowing out of it." She looks at Tuxedo Kamen. "I don't know if I can do it." She turns forward. "Please... For everyone..." She holds the glowing stick out. "So they can live! Please..." Bright light shines everywhere, as the stick's power shoots out.

People lying on the street begin to awaken. They moan, and slowly stand up. Usagi falls back, unconscious. "Sailor Moon?" Tuxedo Kamen calls as he catches her in his arms. "That crisis must have made her tired..."

"No..." Usagi mumbles.

"Using the power was too much for her," he says. He kisses her on the cheek. "You did well, Sailor Moon."

He picks her up and carries her. His star-shaped watch falls from his suit and catches on Usagi's skirt. The glass cracks.

"Ohhh... I'm so relieved... These warm hands... That spirit... I know these hands from long ago.", Usagi thinks.

Usagi opens her eyes. She sits up in a bed, in a room with a large window looking out on the city. "Where am I?" She looks out the window. "It's like in my dream... The one I always have... Someone calling to me..." She pictures the person with short black hair. "That man's voice... Who is it...?"

She lifts the bedcovers and sees a star-shaped watch with cracked glass. She picks it up. "A moon-phase pocket watch... It's broken... Who's is it? Maybe... Tuxedo Kamen's...?" She touches her hand to her brooch, and she returns to her school uniform. She hugs her shoulders. "I transformed in front of Tuxedo Kamen... What if he's an enemy... But he always saves me. Why? I want to know. Why does he always save me?"

The door to the room opens. "Who's there?" she asks.

"Are you okay?" the man asks. The man, wearing the same shirt as Tuxedo Kamen.

Usagi looks up, and sees the face of Chiba Mamoru.

"Chiba... Mamoru? Why... why is he here!?" Usagi thinks to herself. She asks him, "Where am I?"

"This is my apartment," Mamoru says.

She looks around the room. "Chiba Mamoru's apartment...?" she thinks. "I'm in this guy's apartment..."

"Do you remember?" he asks.

Usagi's eyes widen. She looks on the couch. A cape, top hat, and mask lie there. Tuxedo Kamen's cape, top hat, and mask.

"After you used that power," Mamoru says, "you fell down, asleep."

"I remember..." Usagi thinks. "That low voice..." She looks at him. "That tuxedo tie..." She stands up and walks over to the couch. She picks up the mask. "But... I didn't notice..." She goes to him. "The deep color of his eyes..." She places the mask over Mamoru's eyes. "Tuxedo Kamen...?"

"Why?" she asks. "How can you be Tuxedo Kamen?"

"To get my memory back," he says, "I have to get the Mystical Silver Crystal."

"Your memory?"

Mamoru begins to tell Usagi all about how he lost his memory and what happened to his parents.

"Haha!" the young boy says. "Mom, Dad, hurry up! Let's go for a drive!" His parents smile.

The car flies over a cliff, and plummets to the ground.

"It's too bad about the parents..." the doctor says. "But it's a miracle the son, Mamoru-kun, survived."

The boy sits up in bed, bandages around his head. "Who am I?" he asks. "How did I get here? I can't remember anything!! Who am I!?"

Usagi gasps.

"It was on my sixth birthday," Mamoru says. "I lost both my parents in the accident. My memory was completely gone."

"Your name is 'Chiba Mamoru.'"

"When I woke up in the hospital, that's what they told me... But I didn't remember it. So am I really Chiba Mamoru? Or... I could be someone else. I don't know... After a while, I started having a dream. The same one, over and over."

"Please! The Mystical Silver Crystal..."

"That's what she always says... The dream keeps repeating... In my sleep, I would get up and prowl around the streets at night. I wore a tuxedo... I was like a mysterious bandit. I only remember one thing: I must find the Mystical Silver Crystal." He looks at Usagi. "What about you? You're looking for it too, right?" he says. "Why?"

"Well... I'm..." She scratches her head. "I don't really know why. But Luna says I must find and protect it."

"I see."

"So that's his reason," Usagi thinks.

Their eyes meet. Mamoru puts his hand on her shoulder. "Usako," he whispers. Usagi's heart jumps. "Here's your bag," he says, holding up her bookbag. She takes it and he leaves the room.

"He called me... Usako..." Usagi holds her bag tightly. "So then I should call Mamoru... Mamo-chan..." She lifts the star-shaped watch from her skirt. "He brought this for me... A broken pocket watch."

Mamoru stands by a dresser. "Night has fallen already." He holds the handkerchief Usagi dropped at the masked ball. He kisses it gently, as Usagi, at the same time, kisses the watch.

I shall quickly summarize that at the end of Act 7, Sailor V (Sailor Venus) arrives to save Usagi from Zoicite and kills him. (Zoicite is a male and he is NOT homosexual)

Now at the beginning of Act 8, Sailor V is shown to have a crescent moon on her forhead and Artemis says: "She really is Sailor V, from the Moon Kingdom. The Silver Millennium... She has the royal family's holy stone, the Mystical Silver Crystal. She's the successor to the throne, Princess Selenity!"

From here on, everyone seems to believe Sailor V really is the Moon Princess, and Usagi and all address her as such. But meanwhile, Usagi has been having a strange dream.

"Selenity," the man calls.

Usagi turns, and sees him being swept away. The man screams in pain. Usagi then also screams his name, with tears pouring like rivers from her eyes, "Endymion!!"

"No!!!" Usagi sits up. In bed. She looks around. "A dream...?"

She goes over to the window and stretches. "After meeting the princess, I've been having that dream... 'Selenity...' he calls. To me?"

Flash forward to the end of Act 8. Kunzite, another of Beryl's generals, is now after the soldiers, Sailor Moon and the 'Princess'. He has already attacked Makoto/Jupiter. Minako/Venus as the "Princess" orders them all to go to the Tokyo Tower. But suddenly Usagi gets this odd feeling.

Usagi holds her hands to her mouth. "I feel something bad is going to happen," she thinks to herself. "Tuxedo Kamen!? I wonder if he's all right. He's not hurt, is he? Mamoru... Mamo-chan! Endymion!!"

Mamoru sits up in bed. "That dream..." he says. "Someone calling to me...? My head hurts... What's going on!?"

He looks out the window. "A blackout!? What's over there? A single light..." All he see is one single bright light in the dark city. He gets up and transforms. He feels Usagi is in danger.

Usagi is now battling Kunzite and has used her 'Moon healing Escalation' to restore power to the city. But then Kunzite blasts her and she falls off of the Tokyo Tower.

"Oh no!" she cries. "I'm falling!"

She lands in the arms of Tuxedo Kamen. He winks at her. "Tuxedo Kamen!! I don't believe it... You saved me again!!" She hugs her arms around him and tells him, "There's danger! The enemy is beating us! We can't run away from here." Then she reaches up and kisses him, and flies back up to the top of the tower.

Tuxedo Kamen holds his hand over his mouth as he watches her leave. "Sailor Moon...! You're strong today. Every time we meet, I see a different side of you. Were you a different person before? What kind of girl are you!? Who are you, really!?"

Usagi as Sailor Moon runs back to the senshi, whose powers are all being sucked up by Kunzite.

Usagi's eyes widen. "Get out of here!" she calls to the others. "Hurry!" She thinks to herself, "He's going to attack with his stored energy!? I have to get the princess to a safe place. I have to protect her!" She points the moon stick at the girls, and a sphere of light encircles them, carrying them away.

"Usagi!?" Minako calls. "Sailor Moon!! Damn!!"

A large mass of energy gathers around Kunzite. He is going to attack Sailor Moon,

Minako yells to the others, "Protect Sailor Moon! Hurry!!"

The energy blasts toward Usagi.

"I have to save her," Mamoru says. "This time, I'll do it!" Remembering instantly, that he could not save her once before, a very long time ago. The memory stirs him into action, with no thought for his own safety. All he sees is Usagi and that he loves her, and she is in danger.

He jumps up and dashes in front of her. The blast strikes, piercing him through the chest.

Usagi yells in shock as Mamoru falls to the ground. "Tuxedo Kamen!?"

Mamoru sees a girl hazily through his eyes. "Someone's calling to me..." he thinks. "That long hair... In my dream, always calling me... Is it you? Sailor Moon?"

"Tuxedo Kamen!" Usagi cries. "Stay with me! Open your eyes!"

"Such a sad face," he thinks. "Why is she crying?" He sees an image in his mind. "This has happened before..."

"Endymion!" the girl cries. "Endymion!"

"Endymion..." he thinks. "That's my name... I remember. I was born here as Chiba Mamoru. To meet with you..."

He reaches up. "Selenity..." he moans, before his body goes limp.

"No!" Usagi says. "Noooo!" she screams. A light glows around the two.

"Sailor Moon!?" the other girls call.

The moon-shaped tiara on Usagi's forehead shatters. A glowing crescent moon is revealed beneath it. The girls gasp. "The crescent moon mark...! Princess Selenity!?"

The mark on Minako's forehead disappears, replaced with an ordinary tiara like the others have.

Usagi holds Mamoru's head. She is now sitting in a flowing white dress. She takes out her moon watch. "Tuxedo Kamen's broken pocket watch..." she thinks as tears stream from her eyes. "It's starting to go in the opposite direction. Time's going backwards... I feel the memory of the past. It's so sad..."

"I remember," Rei says. "About us... We're Princess Selenity's four guardian soldiers...! Born to protect the Princess, and restore the Moon Kingdom. So, she's our REAL Princess."

The four girls, and Kunzite, watch Usagi and Mamoru, who float over the Tokyo Tower.

"I remember," Usagi thinks. "Tuxedo Kamen... I love you, Endymion...

"My memory is coming back quickly. I'm drawn into your deep eyes. The same color as your blue planet. The star that hides hopes and dreams. Back then, I loved to watch that planet from the moon. And on that planet... The highest ranking royal prince. The strongest, most beautiful person. Endymion. I wanted to see you. Sometimes, I went to Earth to be with you, Endymion. But, we couldn't meet like that. Why? The people of the moon and Earth couldn't be together... We weren't supposed to love one another... But, it was too late."

On the moon...

"Destroy the Moon Kingdom!" the woman calls. "Bring me the Mystical Silver Crystal!" She turns. "Prince! Have you betrayed the earth!? This is all for our prosperity!"

"Stop!" Endymion calls. "You must stop! This is a useless fight!"

The woman raises her sword above her head. A gaseous entity smiles behind her. She brings it down. Selenity screams as the blade cuts through Endymion.

"Noooo! Endymion!"

"Answer me!" Usagi pleads. "Open your eyes!" Tears streak down her face.

"I remember," she thinks. "We were born here, and met again. Is this our destiny, Endymion?"

"Tuxedo Kamen!!" she cries. "I can't do anything... I love you. You're the only one..."

A tear falls from her cheek into the air. A bright light glows from it. It slowly gets bigger and brighter as power streams out of it.

"What the-!?" Kunzite says

"It's so bright!" Minako calls. "I can't see anything!!"

A man looks out his house window, and sees the dazzling light in the sky. "What's going on? Where's that coming from? It's night!"

Queen Beryl watches through her crystal ball. "That light...!?"

As the tear falls through the air, it transforms into a bright crystal.

"I see it!" Ami calls. "The light...! Usagi-chan's tear crystallized! It's glowing!?"

"I don't believe it..." Minako says. "The Mystical Silver Crystal..."

"Damn!" Kunzite says. "I can't sustain this barrier anymore!" He transports back to the stone castle of the Dark Kingdom. He enters the room where three glass coffins are stored. He looks down at one of the decayed corpses. Muscle and skin begin to grow around the skeletons, until he is looking at the face of Jadeite. The glass casing breaks open. "Jadeite!?" Kunzite calls. "Nephrite, Zoisite!? You've come back to life!?" He sees the other two also restored.

"What's that light?" he says. "What happened to our deep sleep? What are we doing here? Where's our master...? He was probably born again on Earth... Where is he? Endymion-sama..."

"What are you arguing about?" Endymion asks.

"Prince," Kunzite says, standing with the three other generals. "We are being tightly controlled. We can't stand the methods of the Moon Kingdom. They are watching us very closely."

"When did this start?" says Endymion. "Watching you!? Who's doing that? That evil creature? You don't know!? Use your skills! Find out!"

"The memory...?" Kunzite says. "The memory of our previous life...? I understand. We must search for our master... Prince Endymion-sama. We have been reincarnated. Our memory is back. Again, we have fell in with the evil forces, and betrayed ourselves." He sees the body of Zoisite fall back and melt apart. "Something's happening to his body!" he says. "Zoisite! Nephrite, Jadeite! Have you become stone!? You're gone again..."

Kunzite sees that the once noble, kind-hearted generals, who were brainwashed by Beryl and Metallia, have now turned into small stones. He, himself, now remembers his past - serving Endymion. Kunzite has returned to his true self. But this will not last for long......

"Look!" Ami calls. "The Mystical Silver Crystal!"

As the crystal falls, the light comes out of it. The crystal lands in Usagi's hands. The light moves into the body of Mamoru.

Then Queen Beryl's voice shouts to Kunzite to steal the crystal and the Princess but instead, Tuxedo Kamen gets stolen away.

Usagi sits in the Crown Game Center, in her flowing white dress, crying. Her head is buried in a soft pillow, rested on a table. The others watch her, concerned.

"Sailor Moon..." Minako says as she approaches her. "I mean, Princess Selenity. Do you remember?" Usagi looks up at Minako, who now wears a normal tiara. "Do you remember that I'm Sailor Venus? That I'm the real leader of the four soldiers of your royal guard... do you remember about our kingdom, the Silver Millennium?"

"I remember," Usagi says. She thinks to herself, "Endymion... Before we were born here, when we were happy... The earth was one kingdom, and the moon was another. Soon, the two became involved in a dispute. Our happiness was torn apart... And it was the same this time. I couldn't save him."

"Tuxedo Kamen used to be Endymion," Luna says. "He was reborn on Earth..."

Back at Queen Beryl's Dark Kingdom, Mamoru is dead and his body is being kept alive. Queen Beryl has erased from Mamoru *ALL* his memories, is turning him pretty much into her own robot. His spirit is no longer in his body. He is no longer Mamoru/Tuxedo Kamen. This is important to remember. Usagi's crystal, though can restore a person to their true form and return their real spirit to them.

As Beryl does all this, Usagi has, in the meantime, been having a nightmare of Mamoru's face coming apart with only skull left. She wakes up screaming, NOOO!

In a private view of Luna's thoughts, we learn that Sailor V/Venus/Minako was parading around as the Moon Princess just as a decoy. Luna, and the senshi then go and visit Usagi. Who vows that she will save Endymion and defeat the Dark Kingdom. But to do that, Luna says they must all go to the moon, to regain their memories.
