--------------------------------------------------------------------- On a Moonswept Moor By Lady M Harris Editor: Sun Princess Rating: Adult/Hentai Part Four "When did you get into Tokyo? I didn't expect to see you here," Usagi gushed out excitedly as she gazed into Seiya's familiar, smiling face. Her eyes went wide as a new thought crossed her mind. "Where's Minako-san?" he asked looking over and behind Seiya's shoulders curiously. "I'm right here," Mina replied smiling sunnily, rising out of the chair right next to Seiya. She had watched the scene between her fiancé and his old girlfriend with thoughtful eyes. "Oh! You're so beautiful!" Usagi gasped out without thinking. Mina was, indeed, very lovely with her long, shimmering golden mane and pretty, blue eyes. "Thank you, and so are you, Tsukino Usagi!" Mina chuckled. "You'll have to excuse Usagi-chan, she's always this frank," Ami grinned. "That's an understatement, Ami-san," Seiya chuckled along. "But I'm being remiss of my manners. Usa-chan, this is my fiancée, Aino Minako," Seiya said as he placed a possessive hand on Mina's shoulder. "I'm so very pleased to meet you, Minako-san," Usagi smiled brightly as she inclined her head politely toward Mina. "And I-I have someone for you to meet, Seiya-kun," Usagi replied nervously as she backed toward Mamoru, who had been silently watching the entire exchange. "I'm Chiba Mamoru, or rather Chiba-sensei to some of the people here at the party," Mamoru began, taking the reins out of Usagi's hand by introducing himself to her friends. His hand reached out to clasp Seiya's in a firm grip as they measured each other carefully. "Kou Seiya, pleased to meet you," Seiya replied. "Your brother?" Mamoru asked Taiki, slightly surprised by the relation. "Yes, and as you probably already know, I'm Kou Taiki," Taiki replied also nodding his head, politely. "I'm also Usagi's fiancé," Mamoru finished toward both brothers slowly, enjoying Seiya's sudden surprise. "Is this true, Usa-chan?" Seiya asked staring at Usagi, shock and hurt crossing his features before he was able to mask them effectively. How come she never mentioned this Mamoru when he had called almost three weeks ago, he wondered. "Y-yes, it is," she stammered, her eyes pleading with his to understand. "It was very sudden," she tried to explain. Mamoru placed his large hand on top of her clenched hands. With the strength of his warm hand seeping through her gloves, she found herself relaxing. She looked up into his face, her eyes showing their gratitude. Yet, to Seiya it was the caressing gaze of an affectionate lover. Had she never looked at him that way? Even when they were together, she had held herself back from him. He turned away slightly, unable to watch the two of them, feeling the pain of her rejection all over again. He understood that it wasn't Usagi's fault that she could never love him, the way she did this Mamoru. But the pain was still there, buried deep within him. His eyes locked onto Mina's understanding gaze. "Taiki, I love this song," Ami began softly above the noise of the party, tactfully breaking the straining silence. "Are you trying to hint at something, sweetheart?" Taiki chuckled at Ami's outraged face as he got up from his chair. Boy, this is better than a soap opera, he thought to himself. He wasn't too concerned with his brother's heart. Minako loved him dearly, and he knew that eventually Seiya would realize it. "You know, that isn't such a bad idea," Mamoru replied looking down into Usagi's face, as Taiki and Ami moved toward the couples on the dance floor. The song reflected his mood for the moment. In a way, we're the same two people looking out to sea For a wave that would carry all our fantasies "Usagi-kun," a voice said behind Usagi and Mamoru. Usagi whirled around to see an angry Totomu and smug looking Nurse Junko standing behind them. "Totomu-kun. I'm so-" Usagi began, smiling brightly. "I can't believe that you're with him, Usagi-kun!" Totomu grit out between clenched teeth. "I mean, I didn't want to believe the rumors, but I guess I was wrong." "The rumors . . . that's the reason why you didn't-didn't want go to the party with me? You believed . . ." Usagi whispered, large, unshed tears beginning to well up in her eyes. I can't believe that I'm letting all those stupid rumors to bother me so much, Usagi cried to herself. Why would he even believe those unless--did Totomu really like her . . . more than just friends, she asked herself? Mamoru's eyes narrowed into furious slits of sharp, cutting glass and his mouth tightened inconspicuously as he gazed into Totomu's face. "Totomu-san, I'm very disappointed in you," Mamoru stated coldly, next to Usagi. He placed a possessive hand on Usagi's back, feeling her stiffen from the touch, while his hard gaze penetrated the younger man. "Usagi-chan is my fiancée, and I do not take kindly to any negative comments made about my future wife. Do I make myself clear?" he stated, still staring coldly into Totomu's tight face. "Nurse Junko," he added, including the nosey busybody, his voice low and steely, even above the noise of the party taking place around them. Nurse Junko nearly jumped out of her dress, the smug expression replaced by fear as she stared back into Chiba-sensei's piercing eyes. "Did I just see Usagi-chan with an incredible looking man taking her to the dance floor?" Rei asked her husband Yuuichirou, as they stood within a group of important bankers. That had better not be Usagi-chan, Rei thought. The girl hadn't even mentioned that she would be attending this party, especially since she had said that Totomu had canceled at the last minute. And who was that gorgeous man she was with, Rei asked herself? She was still staring at the retreating backs of the couple in question I'm going to kill her for not letting me in on this, Rei thought. "Incredible looking, you say?" Yuuichirou grumbled like the jealous husband, causing Rei to chuckle in annoyance. "I didn't see Usagi-chan, but I did see Dr. Chiba Mamoru with an incredible looking blonde on his arm," Yuuichirou said with a laugh, and winked at his lovely wife when Rei poked him on the arm with her purse. "That is Usa-chan! Why, that girl! She didn't tell me that she was going to be here," Kenji replied through clenched teeth within the same group of bankers. He was at the party covering the story for the newspaper. His eyeballs had almost popped out his skull, when he saw his baby doll, his little girl, walk out onto the dance floor with none other than Chiba-sensei of the Chiba Financial Corporation. He almost didn't recognize her. She walked with the ease and sophistication only due to a lady born of leisure within the class of the wealthy. Since when did she start seeing Chiba Mamoru, Kenji asked himself, still amazed? He watched with continued surprise as Chiba pulled Usagi closer to him. Everyone at the party noted their apparent intimacy and involvement with each other and Kenji was boiling like an overheated radiator. He could feel himself trying not to lose control as he steadily fought down the nearly overwhelming wave of protectiveness that rose when he noted how close Chiba held his daughter to him. "Well, it looks as if you have some competition for my grandson's affections, Beryl-kun," Hiromi chuckled deeply, although his smile didn't quite meet his beautiful, blue eyes as he gazed steadily at Beryl from the self-same circle of elite bankers. Despite the laugh lines around his eyes and mouth, proclaiming his older age, Hiromi was still a very handsome gentleman. His frame was still erect, his build muscular and hard, even though he was in his late fifties. Anyone, who knew the two--grandfather and grandson--knew immediately how well Mamoru would age. "You've heard the rumors already?" Beryl gasped with frustrated anger. Her fingers clenched within her hands as her eyes narrowed into daggers at the blonde held within Mamoru's arms. Oh, she had of the rumors all right. Beryl couldn't believe that she had been deceived so easily by that conniving, little, blonde bitch. The same little blonde who had asked her so politely if she could take a message to Mamoru-kun. Why, the bitch had probably laughed her pretty, little, airy head off, after she had left her by the reception desk that day. You haven't seen the last of me, Tsukino Usagi, Beryl bitterly sneered to herself. "Yes, I have and I see that her father has yet to hear of the news," Hiromi said, directing his gaze at Kenji. "That is, if the rumors are true. I have yet to actually hear it from my grandson's own lips, though," he added as an afterthought. He walked over to Kenji, who was still astonished that Chiba Hiromi had spoken to him and that his daughter was waltzing about the dance floor in Chiba Mamoru's arms. "Perhaps . . ." Hiromi prodded Kenji to introduce himself. "Tsukino Kenji," Kenji mumbled, still slightly dazed and staring at his little girl as Hiromi laid a large hand on the other man's shoulder, leading them away from their current group. "Tsukino Usagi, is that her name?" Hiromi asked, then grinning at Kenji's nod of surprise. "What a lovely daughter you have. . . ." "What is he to you, Usagi-chan?" Mamoru quietly asked as he guided them to the already crowded dance floor. A new song was beginning to play. (Jon B.) Heard about my past Things I used to do The games I used to play The girls that didn't last I know what's on your mind You think I'm doing wrong Can I say what is real You are the only one When I'm not around Do you think of me Or what the jealous ones Are claiming me to be You should know by now that That it's gonna take a lot of trust From you for us to make it through You should know baby you're my angel Nothing's gonna make you fall from heaven Girl I just want to love you Love you Don't listen to what people say They don't know about you and me Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy They don't about this here Don't listen to what people say They don't know about you and me Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy They don't about this here Girl let's talk about what Your friends told you That I'm a selfish man Want my cake and eat it too Maybe in my past But you change me now Now that I've learned to love It's you that showed me how Your love is so real I'd be a fool to play Play around on you I want to stay with you You should know by now . . . "T-Totomu? He-he's just . . ." Usagi began glancing up into Mamoru's hard face. Her nerves were almost totally shot at the moment. Her legs felt like jelly from the straining confrontations and all she could think about was this enigma of a man, who held her in the protective circle of his arms. "No, Kou Seiya," Mamoru corrected her, his cheek twitching slightly with impatience. Totomu was no one as far as he was concerned, but Seiya was totally a different matter. "He's an old boyfriend. There's nothing between us now," Usagi stated calmly as she looked away from him. "I take it, you were very involved with him?" he asked, pulling her sweet body closer against his, wondering at his own apparent possessiveness over Usagi. He had to admit to himself that he didn't care for the way Seiya's eyes had softened with something more friendship when he had gazed at Usagi. Mamoru wondered just how involved they had been, but refrained from asking. He didn't want to examine these feelings that crowded the surface of his brain. Feelings that demanding an explanation, especially where they concerned Usagi. It seemed as if this whole thing between her and him had a bigger impact on her feelings than what had been with Seiya. Mamoru smiled grimily, knowing he had won this round against the famous, singer-artist. "Yes," she merely said, staring at Mamoru's chest. Mamoru sighed slowly above her head. Usagi looked up into his face, smiling sadly, "It was over a long time ago. My feelings for him, are only those between a good friend." They continued to stare at one another for long moments, their bodies moving naturally together with the music before Mamoru broke the silence. "Come now, that's enough on the past and we can't have you feeling sad. This a party; let's enjoy it, shall we?" Mamoru grinned ruefully, as he swirled them gracefully through the other couples on the dance floor. Usagi caught on, her tinkling laugh ringing sweetly in Mamoru's ears like silver bells, her spirits instantly brightening as she was caught up in the moment. They neared an open balcony where other couples were standing about, submerged in each other's company. Usagi's breath shuddered to a stop as she suddenly found herself and Mamoru standing underneath a massive bouquet of lovely Christmas flowers and mistletoe. She could feel her heart beginning to rumble like a runaway freight train, as Mamoru stared down into her lovely face with a devilish grin spreading across his lips. He pulled her up against his chest abruptly, her hands clenching his lapels in apprehension. Other men, who stood near the balcony doorway watching the couple, cried out in chorus and whistled their encouragement to Mamoru, while the ladies sighed in dreamily at Usagi's handsome date. "Hmmm, a mistletoe . . ." Mamoru breathed softly into Usagi's ear, inhaling her sweet and fresh fragrance. What was it about her, he thought himself? He felt as if he could bury himself into her and her essence and lose himself in the enchantment of the moment. He wondered briefly, how he had ever lived completely before Usagi had slowly taken hold of him with her bewitching ways. That it's gonna take a lot of trust from you For us to make through You should know baby you're my angel Nothing's gonna make you fall from heaven Don't listen to what people say They don't know about you and me Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy They don't about this here . . . "Mamoru . . ." she whispered softly, lifting up her face toward his. She wanted to kiss him with every fiber of her being, to feel those hungry lips of his on hers. Unconsciously, her bright sky-blue eyes deepened into the color of lapis blue with her heighten senses of desire. Delicious sensations coursed wildly throughout her veins with every beat of her heart. Her eyes lovingly traced the curve of his lips, savoring the moment they would touch. This is what you have really wanted all night, what you've been waiting for, her thoughts whispered to her softly. And then their lips collided in what was meant to be. It was all she had ever expected it to be, wanted it to be, knew it would be--magical. Don't listen to what people say They don't know about you and me Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy They don't about this here . . . For long, heart stopping moments, their lips entwined in mutual passion. Their tongues tasted, dipped and explored one another's mouths with wondrous excitement in a dance as old as the sea itself. Usagi could hear someone moaning and realized with dazed startlement that it was her. Her mind dimly registered the sounds of the men and women clapping and whistling their approvals in the background. But her body was caught up in the rich, delicious feeling of being drowned and devoured by Mamoru, helpless to move, only wanting to stay like that forever. If only we could stay like this forever, she thought hazily. Mamoru pulled away slowly, his eyes heavy lidded by the amount of desire coursing wildly within him. "We'll finish this later," he said roughly, his voice husky. His eyes conveyed everything that his words did not. Christ, he wanted her . . . badly. And he knew, without a doubt, that before this whole charade was over, he will have tasted splendor with her. Seiya turned away from the scene of Mamoru and Usagi kissing passionately, underneath the balcony archway with the fragrant mistletoe. He was angry with himself for still caring for Usagi. Why can't I just put it past me, he thought? He was still seething with pent up anger at himself and at Chiba Mamoru when he caught the Minako's gaze. "Seiya, if there's still some unresolved feelings for Usagi, you better let me know," Mina said, standing before Seiya in slight confusion. She had witnessed the scene also and had noted Seiya's expression. She knew deep down that Seiya was experiencing what could only be feelings for Usagi. Mina knew that the times they had spent together as friends, partners and lovers went far beyond anything Seiya and Usagi had in the past, but Usagi had been Seiya's first love and would always hold a special place in his heart. Yet, it was time that he put those feelings past him. Especially since, Usagi already had . . . with Chiba Mamoru. Stay tuned for part five . . . Lady M Harris Author's notes: Hey, there! Guess what?
