Welcome to Emeraude and Zagato - a love shrine to the beautiful couple from Clamp's
manga Magic Knights Rayearth! This shrine is full of spoilers!

Introduction . . . (contains spoilers)
Emeraude was chosen when little to be the Princess & Pillar of Cephiro, meaning it would be her life's
duty as ruler to pray for Cephiro to keep it safe, but this meant her heart and life could not devote itself to any other.
While ruling, she met & fell in love with the high priest, Zagato. Both
wanted to be together but it was impossible because of her role as pillar. As a result, Emeraude's heart and spirit for Cephiro began to waver, thus endangering the land.
Zagato wanted Emeraude to be free & suffer no more so took her away to end the pillar system.
Emeraude
cared a lot about Cephiro though & couldn't let it fall to ruin so she called forth the
3 Magic Knights to save Cephiro! The 3 Knights
believed Zagato was their enemy and sought to defeat him to return the Princess. In the end, Zagato fought for Emeraude & the destruction of the
pillar system (which meant destruction of Cephiro). The Knights killed Zagato, and his death drove Emeraude to grief & hatred grew in her heart, warping her, & she fought the Knights! In the end, the good part of her came through & told the Knights they must kill her too,
so that Cephiro could be saved & so she could be with her love, Zagato. She died, but was reunited in death, with her beloved.
